AI is getting closer to your actual workflow

Inside Teams, your files, and even your own voice.

Adam here! AI is starting to feel less like a tool you open and more like something you can actually delegate work to. The bigger shift here is simple:

AI is moving from answering questions → to creating outputs → to becoming part of the workflow itself.

This week, Perplexity brought its AI agent into Microsoft Teams, meaning teams can now assign tasks inside the same chats where work is already happening. Gemini can now turn prompts into finished files, so you can go from an idea to a downloadable PDF, Word doc, spreadsheet, or slide deck without copying and formatting everything yourself. And Grok now lets you clone your own voice, making it easier to create audio, voice agents, and content that sounds more like you.

PERPLEXITY

AI can now do actual work inside Microsoft Teams

Perplexity just brought its AI agent (“Computer”) into Microsoft Teams. Instead of just answering questions, this AI can now:

  • Pull data from tools like Excel, Outlook, and SharePoint

  • Analyze it

  • Create reports, documents, or summaries

  • And post the results directly into your Teams chat

You can now assign tasks to AI inside your team chat like you would a teammate

How to Try It?

If you use Microsoft Teams:

  1. Install Perplexity Computer from the Microsoft Marketplace

  2. In a chat or channel, tag @Computer

  3. Give it a task in plain English

For example:

  • “Compare our budget vs invoices and summarize the differences”

  • “Turn these meeting notes into a report”

  • “Create a summary of customer feedback this week”

You can also message it directly for: Drafting documents, Research, and First ideas before sharing with your team.

GEMINI

You can now generate actual files directly from Gemini

Gemini can now turn your prompts into downloadable files right inside the chat. You can go from idea → finished file in one step.

Instead of copying and formatting your work manually, you can now generate:

  • PDFs

  • Word documents

  • Excel spreadsheets

  • Google Docs, Sheets, Slides

  • And more

How to Try It?

  1. Open Gemini

  2. Describe the file you want

For example:

  • “Create a budget tracker in Excel”

  • “Turn this into a one-page PDF summary”

  • “Create a client proposal in Word format”

  1. Download the file or export it directly to Google Drive

That’s it! No copying, no formatting.

GROK

You can now clone your voice and use it anywhere

xAI (the team behind Grok) just released a feature that lets you clone your voice from a short recording.

Once it’s created, you can use that voice to:

  • Turn text into audio

  • Power AI voice agents

  • Create content without recording every time

It also comes with a Voice Library, where you can store and manage multiple voices for your team or brand.

You can record your voice once… and reuse it across everything.

How to Try It?

  1. Go to the xAI console and record a short voice sample

  2. Let it generate your cloned voice (takes a couple of minutes)

  3. Use it for:

    • Voiceovers for content

    • AI assistants or chatbots

    • Audio versions of your posts or emails

If you’re not ready to clone your own voice, you can also:

  • Choose from 80+ built-in voices

  • Test different tones for your content
