Adam here – and wow, it’s been a big week for AI tools.

From Google Gemini’s new Canvas feature that writes and codes with you in real time, to Claude now searching the web like a research assistant, and even a glimpse at Stability AI’s 2D-to-3D video generator—there’s a lot to explore.

I’ve tested a few of these myself (including asking Gemini to build a working HTML form 👀), and picked out the ones that are most useful, especially if you’re just starting out.

New in Gemini: Write, Code & Listen Smarter

Asked Gemini to build an HTML signup form… it did it in seconds!

Gemini just launched Canvas, a real-time space for writing and coding, and Audio Overview, which turns your documents into podcast-style discussions. Here are my ideas on how you can try it out!

  1. Write & edit in Canvas: Open Gemini, type "Summarise this article and rewrite it in a casual tone", then select Canvas. Edit the output in real time.

  2. Code with Canvas: Ask "Generate an HTML email signup form" (just like what I did here), then tweak the design in Canvas with live previews.

  3. Get an Audio Overview: Upload a research paper or meeting notes, then click the suggestion chip to hear a podcast-style summary. Try it with class notes or a long email thread to see how it works.

Both features are rolling out now—give them a go and see how they fit into your workflow!

Claude Can Now Search the Web in Real Time

Anthropic’s Claude AI just rolled out web search, letting it pull up-to-date info from the internet and cite real sources—perfect for tasks that rely on fresh data.

  • This feature is currently in preview for paid users in the US using Claude 3.7 Sonnet.

  • If you're eligible, go to Profile Settings → Toggle on Web Search, then ask Claude anything that needs current info—like "What’s the latest on the iPhone 17?"

  • Claude will fetch and summarise data, with clickable sources for fact-checking.

Great for anyone doing research, account planning, product comparison, or staying on top of trends—without sifting through links yourself.

Turn 2D Images into 3D Videos—No Skills Needed with Stability AI’s Stable Virtual Camera

Stability AI has introduced Stable Virtual Camera, a tool that transforms a single 2D image into a 3D video with smooth camera movements like 360° rotations, Dolly Zooms, and Spirals—all without needing complex 3D modeling.

The feature currently only available for research use. This is just the beginning of AI-powered 3D animation—would you use a tool like this once it’s available?
