Perplexity Launches Comet Browser — Free for Everyone

Claude Now Lives Inside Slack

Anthropic just rolled out Claude for Slack, giving teams an AI teammate that works right where collaboration happens.

You can now:

  • Chat directly with Claude in DMs for quick writing, research, or analysis.

  • Summon Claude in threads by tagging @Claude and it drafts replies privately before you post.

  • Access the AI panel from any channel for instant context without switching tabs.

Even better: Connect Slack to Claude’s apps, and it can now search your workspace to prep for meetings, summarise channels, or turn messy discussions into clean documentation.

Slack calls it “a step toward the agentic enterprise” where AI agents work hand-in-hand with humans in the flow of work.

OpenAI launches Sora 2 — the next leap in AI video

OpenAI just dropped Sora 2, the most advanced AI video model yet. Now able to create realistic, physically accurate scenes with synced sound and dialogue.

Think Olympic-level gymnastics, anime scenes under fireworks, or cats doing triple axels all obeying real-world physics. Missed basketball shots now bounce off the rim instead of teleporting through it.

  • Physics-aware realism — objects move naturally and follow real-world dynamics.

  • Full audio sync — background sounds, speech, and effects are generated alongside the video.

  • Upload yourself — with a one-time video+audio clip, you can appear as a cameo in any scene.

  • New Sora app — a social platform to create, remix, and share videos built with Sora 2.

OpenAI says Sora 2 is a step toward “world simulation models” AI that actually understands and recreates how reality works.

Currently rolling out in the U.S. and Canada via the Sora iOS app and sora.com, with Pro access for ChatGPT Pro users coming next.
