Weekly Round Up | This Week in AI: Copilot, Lens Live, and WhatsApp Writing Help

This week’s updates show how AI is quietly sliding into the tools you already use every day.

Adam here! AI is showing up in the everyday tools we already use. From TVs that come with an assistant built in, to shopping apps that find what you’re looking for with a quick scan, to WhatsApp giving you a hand with tricky messages — the gap between “AI tools” and daily life is shrinking fast.

On top of that, I’ve kicked off a 30-Day AI Systems Challenge to help you build automations that save at least five hours a week. If you’ve been meaning to get your own AI systems in place, this is the best way to start.

Samsung TVs Now Come With Copilot Built-In

Image: Samsung Newsroom

Samsung is bringing Microsoft Copilot directly into its 2025 TVs and monitors. That means your living room screen can now do a lot more than just stream shows. With a quick voice command or a tap of the remote, Copilot can:

  • Summarise what you’re watching or give quick facts about actors and athletes.

  • Help with foreign language learning or explain tricky concepts in plain English.

  • Make recommendations, answer questions, and even help plan activities through Samsung’s Daily+ hub.

Think of it as having an AI assistant built into the biggest screen in your home — making your TV more interactive, informative, and genuinely useful beyond entertainment.

AI SHOPPING

Amazon Launches Lens Live for Instant Visual Shopping

Amazon just upgraded its Lens feature with Lens Live — an AI-powered tool that lets you scan products in real time and instantly see similar items in a swipeable carousel.

Now built into the Amazon app (iOS first), it connects with Rufus, Amazon’s AI shopping assistant, to:

  • Give you quick product summaries and comparisons.

  • Answer your questions right inside the camera view.

  • Let you add to cart or save to a wishlist on the spot.

In short: spot something you like IRL, point your phone at it, and Amazon Lens Live finds the closest matches — no typing required.

MESSAGING AI

WhatsApp Rolls Out AI Writing Help

WhatsApp now has Writing Help, an AI-powered tool to polish your messages without sacrificing privacy.

Here’s what it does:

  • Suggests alternative drafts in different styles — professional, funny, or supportive.

  • Lets you edit or pick the version that feels right before sending.

  • Works with Private Processing, so neither Meta nor WhatsApp ever sees your messages or the AI suggestions.

Currently rolling out in English across the US and select countries, with more languages to follow later this year.
